Persuading Any Audience

It is with great delight that we introduce a new communications training program for El Paso County elected officials and future candidates for public office.   Persuading Any Audience is the first in its series and this particular class focuses on School Board candidates, with elections in November 2017.

Class size is limited to 20 people. Cost is $50 paid at the door and the fee goes directly to our instructors. No lunch will be provided. Bring your lunch to the class.
Let me introduce our instructors, Michelle Mras and Melanie Sturm!
Michelle Mras, Inspirational Speaker
We begin the morning with Michelle Mras. Michelle's training will focus messaging with body language.

Michelle is a powerful speaker who brings her vivacity, personal anecdotes and genuine passion to empower those in her audience to improve their productivity both at home and in their business.

Michelle has a decade of success in the corporate and non-profit world raising nearly $1 million in the international fundraising arena. Her enthusiasm, organizational skills, her Bachelors degree in Marketing Management and Masters degree in Quality Systems Management, directly translate to higher yields in both non-profit and for-profit organizations.
Her background in engineering, financial institutions, the service industry and politics, along with her world travel as a military child and spouse, gives her a well-rounded view of people around the world.

She shows her audience how to improve the quality of their lives, careers and family life and to find harmony is the topsy-turvy struggle to find a happy solution.  About Michelle Mras

Melanie Sturm
The afternoon will be all on Melanie Sturm. Melanie's training will focus on emotional messaging.

Melanie Sturm writes a bi-monthly column for the Aspen Times called Think Again, with the tagline "You might change your mind."  Now appearing in papers throughout the Rocky Mountains, she's also been published in the Washington Examiner, the Daily Caller and the Denver Post.
As the "Ripley's Believe It Or Not" of commentary, Melanie myth-busts by exposing readers to facts and perspectives they may not have considered, while taking occasional detours to write on the meaning of life.
Melanie's commentary takes on the most controversial issues, leading readers toward uniting conclusions that demonstrate how much common ground Americans share.  Though she hopes to change minds, her goal is to open them, for a free and civil society requires informed and thoughtful citizens.
Having learned through her column how to communicate with people who think they disagree, Melanie teaches persuasive communications at Engage to Win -- a program she co-founded in 2013 -- and speaks publicly, sharing her lessons on how to find common ground and agreement, especially on the hot-button issues that politicians use to divide Americans.
Melanie has 19 years of investment experience previous to which she specialized in project finance at International Finance Corporation (the private sector affiliate of the World Bank), and Mergers & Acquisitions at Morgan Stanley (London) and Drexel Burnham Lambert (New York). Melanie has an MBA from INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France and undergraduate degrees in international relations and economics from Tufts University.

We are undoubtedly excited to have these two power-house, conservative communicators helping us work through the issues. We look forward to you joining us!
